For the better introduction into 'ci' , 'ei', 'es' we all went for some camping time:)! The day before was spent on exciting shopping in Decathlon buying stuff and on friday 5th, at 6:30am i woke up full of energy and great mood, ready to go!
The time in the camp really made me think about myself and my attitude towards some things, but in the end it was a great experience! Plus i got some ideas what i can do from the things we've done!
After getting there and putting up our tents and eating some meal we were put into 3 groups made of 2 tutors, and since i just LOVE my tutor i was really happy to work with people I have good relationships with, but then i realized it's not as helpful since i won't have my friends in the places i will working in (at first times, but i believe I'm a talkative person and easy to get along with so ill make some friends :) ) The activities weren't what i expected them to be.. when saying 'creativity' you think of art and dancing (well at least i do!), but there, we were doing 'stickography', which is an activity which helped us become one as a whole and move at the same time without any verbal communication and not even an eye contact, just looking ahead and blurring our vision! I got a chance to lead:) All thought it was a bit boring, later on realizing and doing my 'resolutions of the day' i realized it was a very good exercise!
Other exercises were more active, like Jogging which i found is definitely NOT my thing, but 'Teaching how to jog' was way nicer and i succeeded in helping my friend to manage jog 3 balls!
We had exercises in pairs, individually and in groups!
So after different types of exercises in 3 different directions: Creativity, Action and Service, we got some time to rest at the beautiful, desert beach with transparent warm water and shinning warm sun!
The camp was a great opportunity was us and our new tutors get closer and get to know each other better, for us learn to work as a team which is a very important skill for our IB work! The activities we've done were for us to think outside of the box, to cooperate (sometimes without speaking or even looking at each other!)! I really loved it and with all the ideas and advices i got from activities and teachers, I'm ready for CAS!
